Car transporter for ’’Motorail’’ trains, type DDm of the ÖBB. The ÖBB offers an extensive car/train travel service (similar to BR ‘‘Motorail’’) with the name ‘‘Auto-Bahn’’. Many car transporters are available for thiw service: they are generally used with ‘‘EUROFIMA’’ express coaches. This model can be run with the (discontinued orange livery EUROFIMA coaches, with the new blood-orange livery coaches and the domestic service coaches model nos. 44850 and 44851.
This type coaches represents the mainstay for the entire domastic passenger service within Austria. It is actually a Swiss standard coach adapted for Austrian use. These domestic service coaches are used on some international routes as well, e. g. the route Salzburg - Resenheim - Kufstein, the corridor train service Lienz - Brixen - Brenner - Innsbruck and routes info Switzeland. These models are designed in exact 1:87 scale and can be used on layouts representing German, Swiss or Italian locations. Inset windows, interior fittings, authentic livery and lettering are part of the design of these coaches.
